This week's first update is online now at Primalrecords.com, and this week--in addition to new releases in our House, Tech-house, Progressive, and Breaks sections--we've also added catalog to our Dub/Leftfield and Techno sections. If that sounds good, give it a browse. In the meantime, here's a quick hitlist for this update's newies, including another clutch of exclusive pre-release promo music:

GRANT DELL pres. TOUCH DUB "Good Music A Play / Sleeping Dub" Worship (Promo) [House, Tech-house] While most are still salivating over Grant's tasty debut for his own Cove label, the boys at Worship are gearing up to release what might be my favorite Grant Dell track to date--and we've got the exclusive. "Good Music A Play" is Grant Dell at his dubbiest--a deep and bottom heavy excursion for the early evenings and late, late nights, and it rocks. But flip it over and you get primetime Dell at his sleaziest. "Sleeping Dub" is anything but a sleeper, finding itself between a jacked-up tech-house groove and some absolutely filthy bass maneuvers. Invigorating.

HDF & BONS "Bender" EP Mother Tongue (Promo) [House, Tech-house] Long-running Boston area label Mother Tongue makes its return this week with 2 brand new titles not to be missed. First up is an extremely limited edition promo-only release from Boston locals HDF & Bons--and there's only 500 pressed! Trainspotters will recognize Steve Porter as one-half of this tech-house duo, but you'd never guess it. "Bender" is a funky houser with a JT Donaldson vibe, while "Mating Call" takes the flip into deep and subby tech-house territory; something for fans of the Tyrant sound. Once these are gone, forget it. You'll never see it again.

JOESKI "Grover's Groove" (Original and HDF & Bons Mxs) Mother Tongue [House, Tribal, Tech-house] While we're on the subject, might as well let you know that we've got the latest from 6400 Crew favorite Joeski, also on Mother Tongue. This one is not in stores yet, and we've got it first. As for the record, you know the score: Quality funk and vintage techism from one of the hottest producers we know. HDF & Bons also hand in a solid mix if you're looking for a stripped down and techy rub.

ROY DAVIS JR. "Love's Light" (Original and Smitty & Davenport Mxs) Jamayka (Promo) [House, Tribal, Tech-house] Chicago's Jamayka Records makes the scene with two new white label releases this week, and both are extremely limited--first-come, first-serve, as always. Deep house favorite Roy Davis Jr. joins the Jamayka fold here with "Love's Light"--a classy vocal tune in original and dub form. Red Menace alumni Smitty & Eric Davenport are up on the remix duties and hand in some of their strongest work yet--funk-filled, proper house music with a dancefloor agenda. And don't get me started on the bass line. Lovely.

YUG feat. HELEN GARCIA "Got To Just..." (3 Mixes) Jamayka (Promo) [House] Jamayka's new "Blue" label debuts with this big room houser. Make no mistake here: This one is for the 1AM dancefloor, with its massive kick and speaker-freaking bass line plowing through a phased and dubbed vocal courtesy of Helen Garcia. A storming start to the Jamayka Blue catalog.

TONY SENGHORE "In the Latin Fashion" EP Seasons [House, Tech-house] The latest release from the Seasons camp comes from tech-house production pioneer Tony Senghore--and this one's got a different swing to it. As the title implies, this one is based around "Full I Banjul," a techy Latin houser that sounds like Brett Johnson went an hour south to Mexico. Those not feeling the Latin groove, however, will want to head straight for "Beatbred"--a tracky, tech-house cut with subtle Atari stabs and true low-end theory.

MOMU "Sunsicle / Donner Pass" Bedrock Breaks [Progressive, Breaks] Remember Northern Exposure? To many, it was Sasha & Digweed's apex as a DJing duo, offering true meaning to the tired "take you on a journey" aesthetic claimed by many, but achieved by few. With the second release for Digweed's Bedrock Breaks imprint, it sounds like someone is ready to pick up the torch. Enter local SF producers Jondi and Mark Musselman, who as Momu, hand in some of the classiest atmospheric breaks to hit vinyl since the salad days of Twilo. Euphoric, and true to the dancefloor just the same.

SWAT "For So Long" EP Tweekin [House, Tech-house] DJ Rasoul does it again with a long-awaited 3-tracker for our friends at Tweekin. On one side, Guy teams up with SWAT crew for a tough and techy deep house cut in true San Francisco style, while the flip takes him on a deep and solo vibe. My proper pick, of course, is the title track--a pumping vocal cut that sounds as good at a club as it does blaring out a Haight Street window.

Also in this week is new remix and production work from Phil Weeks, Demarkus Lewis, Mazi & Rick Garcia, Harry Romero featuring Robert Owens, Rennie Pilgrem, Freq Nasty, Infusion, Hess & Nick Dem Q, SCSI-9, and more.

New label output from Marine Parade, Bamboo, Subliminal, Alluv Recordings, Brique Rouge, Oblong, Distinctive Breaks, Shakes, Force Inc., Silver Network, and much more.

On the restock tip, we've got a limited amount of white labels back in from Tarantic Records for their upcoming Stop War EP from PR2 Recordings artists DJ Adnan and Amit Shoham. Also back in are classic Seasons titles from Brett Johnson and Joshua. And as mentioned below, there's a load of new catalog over in the Techno and Dub/Leftfield categories, so be sure to check that out.

More music on Thursday including truly hot new releases from Mark Farina, the Bionic Bump Band for 20/20, Phil Weeks on Icon, and--it's here!--H-Foundation's latest with Swag on the remix. Be there.
