This week's second update is online now at Primalrecords.com, a day late due to the national holiday on Monday, but certainly not a dollar short. I want to get you guys started as soon as possible today, so I've decided to kick this update out in Lightning Round style.

Ready? Here goes:

NATURAL RHYTHM "Scrambled Headz" EP Odds & Ends (Promo) [House, Tech-house] Natural Rhythm return to Chicago for their first contribution to the East Coast Boogiemen's Odds & Ends imprint. If anyone knows when it's "time 2 jack," it's Mark Farina, who's been hammering this one all month. Now it can be yours, on exclusive white label.

EARTH DEULEY "Chocolate" (Original and Wyatt Earp & DJ Foxx Mxs) Hochokai [House, Tribal, Tech-house] Low Pressings regular Earth Deuley makes the jump to Wyatt Earp's always on-point Hochokai label with "Chocolate," a stylish deep tech-house cut that gets a darker, moodier relick from Earp and his Primal conspirator DJ Foxx. Absolutely wicked.

DJ ALI "The Wall" (3 Mixes) Village [House, Tribal, Tech-house] Much like his first big remix for Chez Damier, DJ Ali's latest is big on blissfully dubby FX, spaced out vocal samples, and bass with a seriously bouncy bump. Have we mentioned how much we love this guy enough?

IZ & DIZ "Unnnhhh / Love Me Right" Classic [House, Tech-house] Speaking of folks we love, Iz & Diz return to Derrick Carter's Classic imprint with a dancefloor paean that'll make you say "Unnnhhh." Could the combination of one Chicago house vet and a San Francisco scene staple yield results that are anything less than brilliant? We didn't think so either.

D'JULZ "Ze Theme / First Avenue / Dusty Groove" 20/20 Vision [House, Tech-house] While David Duriez and Phil Weeks get much of the notoriety in the revamped Parisian house community, D'Julz has been quietly paving his own way with releases for Serial, Ovum, and Maya, cranking out some quality techy house music. "First Avenue" must have some reference to the Minneapolis club, because it sounds like 20/20 Vision getting a stab at Prince's synth collection. Filthy funk.

DAVE BRENNAN "Drink Deep / Bombis Acid" Pt. 1 / "Drink Deep" (James Zabiela's Vox Version) / "Bombis Acid" (Mr. C Rmx) End Recordings [House, Tech-house, Breaks] Dave Brennan's original mixes are fat and chunky tribal tech-housers with a UK feel, while the remix disc handles two entirely different territories: Mr. C gives "Bombis Acid" a techy acid rub worthy of its name, while rising star James Zabiela finds salvation in an atmospheric slab of tech-house breaks that could give Tom Middleton a run for his money.

SLATER HOGAN & JOHN LARNER "The Hoosier Daddy" EP (Original, Jonene, and Lance Desardi Mxs) Afterschool [House, Tech-house] Hot on the heels of their Blessed With Soul EP for Flygaric Tracks, Hogan & Larner return for the fledgling Afterschool label and the results are consistent: Sample-heavy house music in the vein of Mike Dixon, this time getting the minimal tech treatment from Jonene and another fly funky rerub from man-of-the-moment Lance Desardi.

FORTUNATO & MONTRESOR "Imagine" (Chris Fortier Remix & Dub) Bedrock [House, Progressive, Tech-house] The original on Electrolux was a techno classic; here, it gets remixed by Fade entrepeneur Chris Fortier and I am feeling it big time. Deep, sexy, and ethereal, but the feel is distinctly house. A reworked, funkier b-line gets the dub going where the original never went. Love it.

Also in this week is new remix and production work from Brett Johnson (remixed by Tojami Sessions and Vernon & Da Costa), Tony Senghore, Steiger, DIY, Chicken Lips, Playgroup, Mike Dixon, Lovesky (remixed by the Hardkiss brothers!), Boo Williams & Demarkus Lewis, Plastic Head Band, All Good Funk Alliance, Silicone Soul, Akufen, Deviate (remixed by Joshua Collins), Rick Wade, Ictus, and much more.

New label output from Ultrasound, Force Inc, Aroma, Warmth, DIY Discs, Bedrock, Weekend, Odori, Reverberations, Stereo, Tronicsole, Presslab, and more is also in.

Back in stock: The much-in-demand Throwback EP featuring remixes of Hall & Oates, Santana, and Kaskade's brilliant Talking Heads mix, as well as the recent EP from Fred Everything on 20/20 Vision.

Apologies for the delay, and thanks again for all your support. More new music next week, including the latest Movim release on pre-release white label. Remember "Talkin' About the Power"? The original mix is being reissued and remixed by Patrick Turner and Casa Del Soul's Ty Tek. You will not want to miss this! Be good, everyone.
